What personal data we collect and why we collect it


1. Contact Forms & Inquiries
When you submit a contact form (e.g., to request a quote, enroll a vehicle, or inquire about advertising), we collect:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company name (if applicable)
  • Vehicle details (if enrolling a vehicle)
  • Any additional information you provide

Purpose: To respond to your inquiry, provide quotes, process vehicle enrollment, or manage advertising campaigns.



2. Account Registration (Advertisers & Vehicle Owners)
When you create an account on our platform: Advertisers provide:

  • Business name, VAT number, contact person, billing address, payment details
  • Campaign preferences and creative assets

Vehicle Owners/Drivers provide:

  • Full name, ID number (for verification and payment)
  • Contact details
  • Vehicle registration, make, model, year, photos
  • Banking details (for earnings payouts)
  • GPS tracking consent and driver profile


Purpose:
To manage accounts, process payments, verify eligibility, track campaigns in real time, and ensure compliance with advertising agreements.



3. GPS & Location Data (Vehicle Tracking)

  • We collect real-time GPS location data from enrolled vehicles via installed tracking devices or mobile apps.
  • This data is linked to the vehicle and campaign, not the individual driver (unless the driver is the sole user).


Purpose:

  • To provide advertisers with live campaign performance dashboards
  • To verify ad visibility and route compliance
  • To calculate driver earnings based on distance and impressions

Note: Location tracking only occurs when the vehicle is enrolled in an active campaign and with explicit driver consent.



4. Cookies & Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Remember your preferences and login sessions
  • Analyze website traffic and user behavior (via Google Analytics or similar)
  • Improve site performance and user experience


Types of cookies:

  • Session cookies: Expire when you close your browser
  • Persistent cookies: Last up to 1 year (e.g., “Remember Me” login)
  • Analytics cookies: Anonymized data on page views, duration, and navigation

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function properly.



5. Embedded Content & Third-Party Links
Our site may include:

  • Maps (e.g., Google Maps for route planning)
  • Payment gateways

These third-party services may collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not control their practices.



6. Payments
Payments are processed via secure third-party providers (e.g., PayFast, Stripe, or bank transfer). We do not store full credit card details on our servers. We retain transaction records for accounting and tax purposes.

  • With drivers: Campaign details and earnings

  • GPS tracking provider: For real-time location services
  • Legal authorities: If required by law (e.g., SARS, court order)
  • Service providers: IT, hosting, analytics (under strict NDA and POPIA compliance)

We do not sell your personal data.



What rights you have over your data

Under POPIA (Protection of Personal Information Act), you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Object to processing
  • Withdraw consent (e.g., stop GPS tracking by ending campaign participation)
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

How we protect your data

  • Access controls: Role-based access for staff

Data Breach Procedures

In case of a breach:

  1. We will notify affected users within 72 hours (if high risk)
  2. We will inform the Information Regulator as required by POPIA
  3. We will take immediate steps to contain, investigate, and remediate


Third-Party Data

We do not receive personal data from third parties except:

  • Payment confirmations from banks/gateways
  • Public vehicle registration data (for verification)


Automated Decision-Making

We use GPS and campaign data to:

  • Automatically calculate driver earnings
  • Generate performance reports for advertisers

No fully automated decisions affect your legal rights.

We comply with:

  • POPIA (South Africa)
  • SARS record-keeping rules
  • Road Traffic Act (vehicle and driver verification)
